Kenneth Wayne Harms, 81 - died Wednesday, August 03, 2005 at the V.A. hospital in Amarillo, TXPrivate Graveside Services were held at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiating was Monsignor Francis Smyer, of St Marys Catholic Church, Amarillo, Texas Kenneth Wayne Harms was born on May 3, 1924 in May, Texas to Walter and Florene (Plummer) Harms. He attended and graduated from school there. Kenneth joined the service after high school. After his discharge from the service he met and married Marianne Gerber, they made their home in Amarillo, TX. Kenneth worked for the Amarillo Globe News for 37 years until his retirement. Ken loved to hunt and fish and was Mr. Fix It to his family and friends. Those who knew Ken will miss his humor, friendly smile, and his cheerful whistle. He is survived by his Wife: Marianne Harms of Amarillo, TX, Daughters: Cindy Luginbill and her husband Jim of Amarillo,TX, Jeanne Harms-Velarde and her husband Nikki Velarde of Amarillo, TX, Lisa Henly and her husband Bill of Dallas, TX, Son: Wayne Harms of Bellevue, Iowa, Brothers: Mack Harms and his wife Alvana of Amarillo, TX, Vance Harms and his wife Karen of Talpa.
