Kenneth E. Guffey

Kenneth E. Guffey, age 84, of Dalhart, passed away, Sunday, September 6, 2026 at his home. A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart with Michael Wilcox officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Dalhart Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born January 9, 1942, to Kenneth Dale Guffey and Faye Ilene Lemmings. They lived in Aztec and Bloomfield, NM; and Durango and Ignacio, CO.

He married Croudine O. Dennis in Bloomfield, NM on November 11, 1960. He worked in the gas and oil field until retirement at the age of 80.

Kenneth’s hobbies were riding horses, hunting, and camping. He loved sharing his testimony of salvation and asking others about their testimony. He also shared his many adventures in the wilderness in the Colorado Mountains.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Richard.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Croudine Guffey; his four children, Kenneth, Dennis, Kristine and David;14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great grands. He is also survived by his siblings, Lyle and Dalene.
