Kenneth Arnold Diller, 85, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hereford with Rev. Scott Raef officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home, with rosary to begin at 6:00 PM.

Kenneth was born on November 5, 1938, in Fowler, Kansas, the 5th of 13 children born to Marvin and Frances (Husmann) Diller. The family moved to the farm in Hereford in 1942. Kenneth attended St. Anthony's Catholic School and graduated from Price College (high school) in 1957. He married Emily Ann Pavlicek in August 1960 in Hereford. He and Emily moved to Texline in 1967, where they farmed for 39 years. Kenneth served in the Texas National Guard, and was on the board of Texline State Bank and Texline ISD. He was instrumental in the planning and construction of the new St. Mary Catholic Church building in Texline in 1983. He enjoyed playing golf and dominoes.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Emily (2004), his parents; 3 brothers, Harold, Gerald, and Phillip Diller; two sisters, Marcella and Coletta Diller; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Emily Pavlicek; and three brother-in-laws, Jim Pavlicek, Jr., Jim Knoeber, and Robert McFadden.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Nick Diller and wife Stacy of Clayton, NM, Mike Diller and wife Valerie of Texline, and Emily Knight and husband Kevin of Hereford; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Kate Knoeber, Rosetta Crandall, Margaret Diller, and Janice McFadden; three brothers, Gene Diller and wife Rita, Ralph Diller and wife Shelly, and George Diller and wife Nancy; brother-in-law John Pavlicek and wife Micki Fine, and two sister-in-laws, Sue Diller and Camille Pavlicek-Fauser and husband Jeff Fauser.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Texline, PO Box 362, Texline, Texas 79087, St. Anthony School Endowment Fund, 114 Sunset Drive, Hereford, Texas 79045, or to a favorite charity.
