Kathryn Mae Johnson, 88, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Dalhart, TX. Graveside Services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2010 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas.Steve Patterson, Pastor of the Dalhart Central United Methodist Church officiated.Kathryn Mae Houser was born October 21, 1921 in Thrift, Texas to Arthur and Emily (Schoch) Houser. Kay graduated from Burkburnett High School and attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She married Robert Earl Johnson on February 15, 1941 in Plainview, Texas. Kay nursed in many hospitals in the United States and St. Croix, Virgin Isles. She retired from nursing in the mid seventies. Kay loved to sing and had a grand time singing both solo and in a girls trio for many years. She was a fun loving and adorable woman with a great love of life, family and friends.Survivors include her daughters: Kathryn Ann Williamson of Richmond, VA and Jan and her husband Victor Chandler of Dalhart, TX. 3 Grandchildren: Connie and her husband Greg Six of Richmond, VA, Heath and his wife Liz Williamson of Chapel Hill, NC and Andrea K. Harrington and her husband Wayne of Santa Maria, CA. 5 great-grandchildren Alexandra Six, Thurman Ayers Williamson, Maggie Williamson, Piper Williamson, and Gabriella Grace Harrington. She is preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Robert Earl Johnson, & 2 sons: Jerry Jack Johnson and Robert Scott Johnson.
