Kathryn was born on New Year's Day, 1918, in McAlester, OK, to Dock Armstrong and Martha Criswell Armstrong. She graduated as valedictorian of her class from Valley View High School, just outside Paducah. She worked in Paducah as a telephone operator, then married William Joseph Hall on December 12, 1940. Kathryn and Joe lived in Matador, where Joe made boots, until he was drafted into the Army during WWII. He and Kathryn lived during his basic training in Aberdeen, Maryland, where Kathryn worked as a base telephone operator. Their daughter, Martha Joe, and their son, John Curtis, were both born in Paducah. Kathryn moved with her family to Dalhart in 1953 and lived here for most of the rest of her life. She held numerous jobs here, but her favorite was as a medication aide at the Coon Memorial Nursing Home. Joe died in 1992, and Kathryn remained in their home until she moved with her daughter to Cedar Park, so they could be near her son. She was a long-time member of the Dalhart Central United Methodist Church and taught the children's Sunday School Class for over ten years. Kathryn's favorite time of the year was Christmas, when she loved decorating the sanctuary. She also loved the Open Door Two Sunday School class. She passed peacefully under the loving care of her children, Martha Joe Wofford, John Curtis Hall and Suzanne Moses, and Hospice Austin. Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, brother Lavelle Armstrong and his wife Juanita Hough Armstrong, sister Flodelle Becker and husband Freddie Becker, infant sister Sybil Armstrong, and nephews Glynn Rhea Becker and Freddie Lynn Becker. She is survived by her daughter, her son and his longtime sweetheart Suzanne, numerous nieces and nephews, and her dearly beloved little Chihuahua, Nacho.
