J.W. Cook, 73, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Buffalo, OK.Graveside Services were held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Jones, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton, NM officiating.Julius Weaver (J. W.) Cook, Sr., passed from this earth on Sunday, November 6th, 2011. J.W was born in Trinidad, CO on July 20, 1937. He is the son of Rebecca Weatherford Cook and James Horace Cook. J.W. was raised most of his life in Dalhart, TX and chose to raise his family there as well. J.W. was an avid fisherman and spent his free time on the shores of a calm lake or in his fishing boat casting a line. Over the course of his life, J.W. had various occupations. He was a soldier, auto body mechanic, truck driver, and welder just to name a few. He is survived by six daughters; Kelly Mills of Galena, Kansas, Gay Graham and her husband, Dean Graham of Dalhart, TX, Mary Cole and her husband Lonnie Cole of Buffalo, OK, Mandy Collins of Hevener, OK, Becky Claycomb and her husband Danny Claycomb of Clayton, NM, Julie Bristow of Amarillo, TX, and one sister, Lorene Ballew, and her husband Russell Ballew of Dalhart, TX. In addition to his parents J.W. is preceded in death by two sons, James Troy Cook, and Julius Weaver (Junior) Cook and one sister, Armetha (Jamie) Haskill. J.W. was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. J.W. had many friends and acquaintances and will truly be missed by all.The family will be at the home of Gay and Dean Graham 1918 Monte Vista, Dalhart, Texas
