A Celebration of Life of Judith Ann Canady 76, of Dalhart will be held at 11 AM Saturday March 29, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas.

Judith Ann Canady, known to her friends and family as Judy Ann Sims, was born in Fairfield, Texas on Sunrise of April 27, 1944. Judy then moved and later met the Late Rev. H.K. Sims were married in Dalhart, Texas.

Later had Two children. She was the third child of Four born to the parents of Annie Lou Canady and Curtis Eatmon, who have both preceded in death. she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Catherine Rogers, Mary Branch, and Annie Faye Bender. Her career was loving and caring for people. She worked as a Homemaker for 20 years and then later worked as a CNA at Coon Memorial Hospital for the remainder of her retirement in 2020.

Miss Sims was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Casper Green. Her hobbies were taking care of her children, helping other people, and singing and praising the Lord.

Judy is survived by her two children, Kay Ann Sims daughter and Laroderick Rick Sims son. Six sisters, Brenda Guy, Juanita Risher, Benita Jackson, Mae Jenkins, Icy Williams, and Brenda Guy. One brother James Eatmon. Six Grandchildren, Sheldon Crain, Maliyah Wright, Lillian Wright, Mya Engert, Trevon Sims, and Laroderick Rick Sims Jr.

Judy was a wonderful Christian Loving Woman, that would do anything for anybody. And her voice was a beautiful sound that I know she and the Lord are singing praises. Her smile and love for everyone will be greatly missed.
