Juanita White, 94, passed away in Dalhart, Texas on January 23, 2017. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Jeremy McMorris, Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas.Juanita Landrum White was born May 5, 1923 in Oklahoma. She was married to Melton Lloyd White on July 20, 1949 in Clayton, New Mexico, and they were married for 56 years. Juanita had one son, John Swayze, who she adored, and John took care of her many years before his death in 2013. Juanita was a talented lady who loved and diligently cared for her animals. She was gifted musically and enjoyed playing the guitar with her family. She enjoyed sharing stories of the days when she was a cowgirl trick rider as well as a pilot. "Aunt Juanita" will be remembered as a funny, sassy, strong-willed lady who brought much laughter to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband, Melt, her son, John and her baby son, Monte Dee White who died in 1966. She is survived by numerous family members and friends who knew and loved her feisty, adventurous spirit.
