Joseph "Joe" Eddie Cruz, 38 of Dalhart, passed away on November 3, 2022. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00am on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Rita Blanca Coliseum with Pastor Richard Rodriguez, NewLife Church, officiating. Mr. Cruz will lay in state from noon until 8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.] He was welcomed onto this earth on September 13, 1984 to Isabell Lopez and Robert Cruz. Joe enjoyed spending time with his daughter Harmony, he loved watching Supernatural, Breaking Bad and TikToks. He was a huge 49ers fan and loved listening to Rock n Roll and Country music. Joe worked for Hydro Resources for a handful of years then went on to 281 Pump Services, where he was employed for just under a year. Joe was passionate about his job and roughneck lifestyle. Everybody he worked with he considered his family, especially his brothers. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Harmony Cruz, his mother Bell Lopez of Dalhart, TX, his father Robert Cruz of Maxwell, NM, his brothers; Arthur Cruz and Michael Cruz (Tiffany), his nieces: Victoria, Raeliegh and Maggie, his nephews: Zediki, Anton and Gage, his two bonus kids Melody and Izayah Trujillo, all from Dalhart, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those to welcome him into Heaven, Grandmother Martha Lopez, his Uncle Eddie and his cousin Jacob.
