Jose M. "Joe" Marquez, 64, Died January 27, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OklahomaPrayer Vigil & Rosary was at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2014. The Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Dalhart, Texas. Officiating will be Monsignor Michael Colwell. Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home in Dalhart, TX.Jose Marquez was born April 25, 1949 in Conchas, NM, to Jose AD and Eloisa (Martinez) Marquez. Joe was a hardworking man, a wonderful father, brother and friend. He was full of life and always putting a smile on someones face. Joe loved his family and friends very much and will be missed dearly. He is in a better place now where there is no suffering. Joe is preceeded in death by his mother Eloisa Marquez and one granddaughter Harmony Marquez.Survivors include his father Jose AD Marquez of Dalhart, TX. Sisters- Connie Gonzales and her husband David of Dalhart, TX, Irene Ramirez and her husband Fritz of Brush, CO. Brother- Alex Marquez and his wife Cheryl of San Antonio, TX. Sons- Jose Ramirez and his wife Sasha of Dalhart, TX, Timothy Marquez, and Gilbert Marquez of Wichita, KS. Daughters- Dee Dee Letourneau and her husband Troy of Wichita, KS, Joni Marquez of Dalhart, TX, and Tonya Marquez of Miami, NM. Sixteen Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
