Johnny Dorman Bolton passed away at his home Saturday, February 6th at the age of 59 after losing his battle with cancer. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the XIT Rangers Clubhouse in Dalhart, Texas. Johnny was born in 1961 to Ida Nell and John Walter Bolton in Dalhart, the second of six siblings and remained a lifelong resident. After graduating from Dalhart High School in 1979, Johnny married Donna Willis in 1980 with whom he had three children Kacie, Keith, and Stephanie. In 1994, he remarried to Jane Marie, and welcomed her and her two sons, Christopher and Javier to be a part of his family. Johnny drove a truck most of his life and was also a truck enthusiast. Along with driving he was also a skilled mechanic. He also worked on many types of projects over the years acquiring skills in carpentry, electrical, home repair, and anything else where he could work with his hands. In his later years, Johnny enjoyed building models with wood in his shop and became fascinated with wood working. He took on many projects for various folks either making or restoring any number of things. Johnny never hesitated when it came to helping out a friend. Johnny is survived by his wife Jane of Dalhart, TX, five children: Kacie Zielke and husband Chris of Amarillo, TX, Johnny Keith Bolton and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, OK, Stephanie Stewart and husband Chris of Spearman, TX, Chris Galvan of Dalhart, TX and Javier Galvan and wife Sonia of Midland, TX, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, his mother Ida Nell Grimes, three brothers: Dusty Bolton and wife Irma, Walt Bolton and Connie Bolton and wife Laurie Crane, two sisters: Dede Pyle and husband Glen, and Patty Garcia and husband Daniel all of Dalhart, TX, and many many nieces and nephews. Johnny is preceded in death by his father John W. Bolton, and his grandparents, Humphrey and Sadie Bolton and Jack and Juanita Hemphill.
