She grew up in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1976. Johnnie continued her education at Wayland Baptist University and received her LVN license. She was a traveling nurse and worked in Lubbock, Tulia, Dimmit, Amarillo, Brownfield, Lockney and Littlefield. Johnnie was always happy and everyones Aunt Johnnie Mae. Johnnie is survived by her husband Alvin Gaither of Guymon, OK.
