Johnann Heimann Adee, 68, died Monday, September 11, 2006 in Dalhart, Texas after a valiant struggle with cancer.Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the First Baptist Church with Rodney Weatherly, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dalhart. Burial was be in the IOOF Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico at 4:30 pm MDT (5:30 pm CDT) with Billy Rammage, Pastor First Baptist Church of Clayton officiating. Services are under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, Texas.Johnann was born on November 26, 1937 in Clayton, NM to Fred and Floy Shields Heimann of Hayden. She Became a Christian as a young girl, and she was a faithful member of the Baptist Church through out her life. She grew up on a ranch in Union County and attended public school in Amistad and Clayton where she graduated in 1955. After attending both Eastern New Mexico State and New Mexico State University she graduated with her BS degree in Home Economics in 1959.Johnann was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Bobby D. Adee on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1958. Together they raised two children Sharon Renee Adee Loden and Dowlen Wayne Adee. She taught elementary school for several years in Las Cruces and Nara Visa New Mexico. After years of raising a family, she returned to teaching as a Home Economics teacher in Waco, Texas. She had a real gift for reaching children that were Difficult to teach. Johnann had a smile and laugh that truly lit up a room. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, bird watching, writing poetry for and about family members, and playing with her grandchildren. She also actively served as a 4-H and Girl Scout leader. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother and devoted grandmother.She is preceded in death by an Infant daughter Sherly Ann , her parents, an and her brother J. Casper Heimann.She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby, of Dalhart; Daughter Sharon Loden and her husband Mike, granddaughters, Abby and Sheryl all of Waco, TX; Son - Dowlen Adee of Dalhart; Daughter-in law: Marilyn Adee of Clayton, NM; Granddaughter Dana Adee of Dallas, Texas Grandson Michael Adee of Waco, TX; Sister Pauline Robertson and her husband Howard of Dalhart: Sisters in Law Owaissa Heimann of Bueyeros and Barbara James of Boise City, OK; Brothers- in law Donnie Adee of Boise City and Gene Adee and wife Jane of Amarillo: numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Dalhart Hospice and Coon Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home. Memorials may be sent to Dalhart Hospice or charity of choice.
