John Albert McClain, Sr. was born January 24, 1943 in Joliet, IL to Corwin G. and Marian E. (England) McClain. They moved to Dalhart in 1950. John was raised in Dalhart. He was a truck driver and gemologist. He enjoyed making jewelry, visiting with friends and fishing. Survivors include his children - John A. McClain Jr. of Stringtown, OK, Chris McClain of Stringtown, Ok and Karen Sparks of Okmulgee, OK. 2 brothers George R. McClain Jr. of Tishomingo, OK and Charles E. McClain of Dalhart, TX and a sister Barbara Ann Heins. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
