Joey Griffin, 27, died Monday, March 16, 2015 in Clovis, NM.Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church with Rusty Hancock, Pastor , officiating - Arrangements are under the care of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Joseph Elliott Raymond Griffin was born May 4, 1987 in Dumas, Texas to Donald Eugene Griffin and Lori Marie Leighton. Joey grew up in Dalhart and was a 2005 Dalhart High School Graduate. Joey graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and began his teaching career. He was currently teaching at Yucca Middle School in Clovis, NM. Joey enjoyed playing-coaching football, playing pool, bowling, and drawing. His desire and work ethic allowed him to fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher and coach. Joey enjoyed his family and tried to keep in touch by coming home as often as possible. Survivors include: father Donald Griffin, mother Lori Leighton, a sister Amber Garcia, brothers Donald Rien Griffin & Richard Griffin as well as Nieces Addison Garcia and Arrianna Garcia and Nephew Alexander Duran.
