Joe C. Montoya, 84, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Dalhart, TX.Services were held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church Dalhart, TX. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery - under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, TX Rusty Hancock, Pastor Lincoln St. Baptist Church and Bob McAlister, Pastor to Senior Adults First Baptist Church, officiated.Joe C. Montoya was born in Logan, NM to Pedro and Juanita Montoya on October 15, 1925. He moved to Dalhart in 1947 where he met Betty Davis (his wife of 49 yrs). He worked for the Railroad for 23yrs, and then went on to farming and retired at the age of 64. He is survived by his daughters: Debbie Ortiz and Christina Awe of Dalhart, TX, Vickie and husband Roy Maldonado of Amarillo, TX, Edith and husband Kevin Bowman of Weatherford, TX, and one son Mike and his wife Tillie Montoya of Dalhart, TX. 24 Grandchildren and 41 Great-grandchildrenHe is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, 11 siblings, and two daughters Ila Rojas and Cathy Franks of Dalhart, TX.The family is at 601 Kendrick
