James Dean Page (Jim) was born on October 12, 1963 in Clayton, NM to his parents Jimmy Roy and Audene Price Page. He attended school and graduated from Clayton High in 1981. He then moved to Dalhart, Tx where he worked for Hal McDaniel as a mechanic. Little did he know before moving there, while visiting Hal's shop, he met his future wife Lawana Ford there in the 80's not realizing they would meet again many years later and marry. While being a mechanic for Hal McDaniel he was given the opportunity to go work for R & R Machine and learn to be a machinist. After working there 5 years he decided to go work at Dalhart Bearing for a couple of years. Leaving there he went to Panhandle Machine for 3 years then went back to R & R Machine where has has worked and become co-owner for the past 25 years. He reconnected with Lawana in November of 1994 and they were married in September of 1995. Jim has always loved old cars and was a lifetime member of the National Street Rod Association. He was a member of the Dalhart Cruzers Car Club, the Studebaker Car Club and loved going to Car Shows and Swap Meets. There wasn't much about an old car that Jim didn't know. He has several old "junkers" as he called them, he was going to fix up. In addition to a few old trucks. He always said he didn't want to do anything but work on his old cars when he finally got to retire. Jim is leaving behind many family members and friends. He is survived by his wife Lawana Ford-Page, his father Jim Page of Dalhart, his son Michael Mayes and his wife Xenia and 3 beautiful granddaughters, Madison, Hailey and Molly Jo, his mother in law Joyce Ford, his cousin Heath Price and his wife Dakari and several extended family members and some of the best friends anyone could have. He is preceded in death by his mother Audene Page, his infant son Jesse, maternal Grandparents Audie (Slats) and Fern Price and Paternal Grandmother Hazel Weatherford.
