Jimmy (Jim C.) Charles Hall of Amarillo, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the age of 50.Graveside Services were held at 9:30 am Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Dalhart, TX, under the direction of Horizon Funeral HomeOfficiants were Barry Walker, Pastor- First Christian Church of Dalhart and The Rev. Clifton A. Mann, Rector St. Andrews Episcopal Church of AmarilloJimmy Charles Hall was born October 13, 1957, in Dalhart, Texas, to Jim D. and Lyndell McBrayer Hall. He attended public schools in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1976.He attended West Texas State University in Canyon and graduated with a degree in finance in 1980. He served as Assistant to the Dean of Students at West Texas State University from 1980 to 1984. He was named Man of the Year at West Texas State University in 1981.He began his banking career in 1984 at the old First National Bank of Amarillo. He worked in trust banking for 24 years (1984-2008) He was employed as Senior Trust Officer at Bank of America in Amarillo.He served as trustee on the boards of Meals on Wheels of Amarillo, Presbyterian Childrens Home, and Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where he served on the Altar Guild, as a member of the Vestry, sang in the choir, and served as a trustee of the St. Andrews Trust.He was preceded in death by his father Jim D. Hall in 1992; his grandparents Vernon and Willa Hall and Luke and Mildred McBrayer; an aunt, Betty Mercer; and, an uncle Charles Hall.He is survived by his mother, Lyndell McBrayer Hall of Dalhart; a brother Dan Hall, also of Dalhart; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; also dear friends - Carrie Brice, Judy Camden and Terry Jones all of Amarillo.Immediately following the service Jims family invites everyone to the fellowship hall at First Christian Church (602 Denver Ave.) for a time of sharing & remembrance.In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Amarillo, The Presbyterian Childrens Home of Amarillo and BSA Hospice.
