Jesse Chuy Gomez, 60, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Amarillo, TXPrayer Vigil was held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas.Funeral Mass was at 2: 00 PM Thursday, August 9, 2012 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon FuneralHome - Dalhart, Texas. Jesse CHUY Gomez was born December 30, 1951 in Juarez, Mexico to Jesus and Anastacia Gomez. As a young child his family moved to Dalhart where he attended St. Anthonys Catholic School. In the early seventies, Chuy started working for Burlington Northern, during that time he married Karen Manriquez, and had three children. He later worked for Coon Memorial Hospital. On November 4, 2005 he married Elaine Cisneros. Chuy enjoyed fishing, golf and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the band Blue Steal.Survivors include his wife Elaine of Dalhart, his children Jesse Alfonso Gomez, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Guymon, OK, Josh Gomez and his wife Davida of Guymon, OK, Angelica Gomez of Dalhart, TX, Matthew and Mark Groen of Amarillo, TX, Tanya Trujillo of San Diego, CA , Valerie Trujillo of Dalhart, TX and Rey Lujan of Dalhart, TX, and 9 grandchildren.He is also survived by his siblings Maria Torres, Vince Gomez and his wife Cecelia, Lucy Gibbens, Jorge and his wife Sue Gomez, Marty Padilla, Hector Gomez and his wife Roseanne, Alice Williams, Fobie Montoya and her husband Frankie, Ruby Donegan and her husband Dave all of Dalhart, TX and Matthew Gomez and Rory Gomez and his wife Judy of Amarillo, TX, his mother and father in law Pauline and Raul Borroel of Albuquerque, NM. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, his father in law Victor Cisneros, and 2 nieces Brei Gomez and Christine Hammett.
