Jarolyn Jay Schlesener, 65, died Tuesday, November 08, 2011 in Dalhart, TX. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Central United Methodist Church.Officiating was Steve Patterson, Pastor, Central United Methodist Church.Jarolyn J. Boelling was born April 9, 1946 in Herrington, KS to Ralph and Betty (Young) Boelling. Jay was raised in Herington, KS and graduated from Herington High School in 1964. On May 14, 1965 she married her high school sweetheart - Mike Schlesener - in San Diego, CA. They moved to Dalhart in 1986. Jay was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she taught Pre-School for many years. She was an avid bowler, a Kansas Jayhawks fan and a member of the Zeta Chi Sorority. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling.Survivors include her husband: Mike Schlesener of Dalhart, TX, a son Tim and his wife Julie Schlesener of Herington, KS, daughters Lori and her husband Randy Sherrill of Dalhart, TX and Leslie and her husband Mike Arnold of Dalhart, TX - grandchildren Ryan, Kayci and Emily Schlesener of Herington, KS Madison and Cooper Sherrill of Dalhart, TX - Brandon and Nathan Arnold of Dalhart, TX Brothers Roger and his wife Helene Boelling of Herington, KS and Ross and his wife Lynette of Boelling of Tonganoxie, KS.
