Jasper J Mac Maxey, age 57 died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Dalhart, TXMemorial services were held at 5 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Lakeview United Methodist Church with Chaplain Doug Brown TDCJ Dalhart Unit: officiated.Jasper Newell Maxey was born October 29, 1951 in Giddings, Texas to Malcolm and Opal (Hudson) Maxey. Mr. Maxey was a correctional officer at the Dalhart unit for over 15 years. An avid sportsman he enjoyed everything from golf and bowling to hunting. He was well known at work for his ability to encourage and inspire both co-workers and inmates alike. Maxey enjoyed cooking and was always ready for a little get together with family and friends. J. Mac was looking forward to his marriage to Rhonda Brewster and adding not only a new wife but a new daughter and grandchildren to his family. He will be missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.Maxey is survived by his daughter Melissa and her husband Tony Webb and their son Jared, one son: T.J. Maxey. Mac is also survived by his love Rhonda Brewster and her daughter Jeri Kay & grandchildren Kaelee, Jacee, Riley. His siblings: Maxine Reed, Phil Helton, Johnny Helton, Bob Helton, Pam Williams, Gary Maxey, W.E.
