Janie Carranza, 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Dalhart, Texas. Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX. Officiating by Father Lawrence John of St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church, Dalhart, TX. ~ Arrangements provided by Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Jane Placencio was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1929 in Amarillo, Texas to Victoriano & Guadalupe (Hernandez) Placencio. Janie was married to Faustino (China) Carranza until his death in 1973. Janie worked at the Hospital for many years but spent most of her time as a homemaker and taking care of her family that she loved. Janie will be remembered for her beautiful soul and her ability of making a bad day better and a good day great. Janie was beautiful inside and out and will be missed dearly by everyone that knew and loved her. Janie is survived by her 2 sons- Arthur Carranza & his wife, Linda of Amarillo and Jesus (Jesse) Carranza of Dalhart, 8 Grandchildren- Carla Rojas of Amarillo, David Carranza & his wife, Rita of Amarillo, Johnny Carranza & his wife, Tonja of Amarillo, Chris Carranza & wife, Brandi of Amarillo, Joey Morales, Billy Sandoval & his wife, Shantana of Lubbock, Crystal Carranza of Dalhart and Jason Carranza of Dalhart. Also, 27 Great Grandchildren, 24 Great Great GrandChildren and many nieces and nephews. Janie is preceded by her husband, son- Ignacia Carranza, 3 sisters & 3 brothers.
