It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Timothy Emmanuel Pahoundis Sr. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 88 years of age.
Timothy was born and raised in Ohio and was a long-time resident of Clovis California. He moved to the Dalhart area in 2007. Timothy nearly always had a smile on his face and enjoyed making people laugh. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and was a natural "wheeler dealer". His wife, Barbara, never knew what would come next. He was the type to leave for work in the family van and come home with a deed to some property, but no van.
And Timothy was a dreamer. He dreamed of visiting Mars and Venus, and he dreamed of having the first cattle ranch on the moon.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Barbara Ann (Stiegle) Pahoundis. His parents Elijah Georgiou Pahoundis and Mary Naomi Oren; Brothers George David Pahoundis, John Daniel Pahoundis Sr., Paul Allen Pahoundis and Louis Elijah Pahoundis; and Sisters Sophia Louise Black and Margaret Elizabeth (Mathios) Swainston.
He is survived by his children Jeanette, Patricia Beesing (Jim), James (Jodith), and David; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister Grace Evangeline Peel.
