James Knight, 85 - Died on Monday, February 13, 2006 in Dalhart, TexasMemorial Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at First Christian Church, Dalhart, Texas Officiating was Barry Walker, pastor First Christian Church Dalhart, TXJames Edward Knight was born on December 4, 1920 in Electra, Texas to James Meadow Knight & Mary Kathryn (Love) Knight. He graduated from Electra High School in 1938, attending Texas A & M in their fall semester. He attended Tarelton State & Southwest Texas Teachers College aka: Texas State. James served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1941 to 1945. He retired from the Air Force in 1966 as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. The First Service held in the new building of the First Christian Church was his marriage to Elizabeth Johnson May 6, 1951. He served as an Elder in the First Christian Church. He was a Scottish Rite Mason with a lifetime membership. He also was a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.
