James Kirkland,, died Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Amarillo, TX. A Graveside Memorial service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Brian Pate, Liberty Baptist Church officiating. James Allen Kirkland was born April 5, 1970 in Ulysses, KS to Loyd and Phyllis (Johnson) Kirkland. James grew up in Johnson City, KS and graduated from Stanton County High School in 1990. He married Tammy Sebastian on April 11, 1992 in Ulysses, KS. In 2005 they moved to Dalhart from Houston, TX. James was an overland trucker, loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.Survivors include his wife Tammy of Dalhart, TX a daughter Ashley Loraine Scheller of Dalhart, TX, his mother Phyllis Ellane Billings of Dalhart, TX and Father Loyd Allen Kirkland of Johnson City, KS. 2 grandchildren: Marshall Parker and Luke Scheller. He is also survived by his nieces: Shana M. Kirkland and Courtney L. Kirkland of Dalhart, TX and Nephews: Austen E. Kirkland and Tyler J. Kirkland of Dalhart, TX and 2 sisters: Lorene Hart of Dalhart, TX and Crystal Schrivner of Norman, OKPreceded in death by grandparents and a brother.
