James Harris, age 30 died on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 in Amarillo, TXServices were held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating at the service was Pastor Craig Fuller, Minister New Life Fellowship Church, Dalhart, TXJames Ray Harris was born on May 30, 1975 in Idabelle, OK to James & Lutherine (Lyons) Harris He moved to Dalhart when he was six months old and then lived with his grandparents Earlene and Otis Douglas, until Mrs. Douglas passed away. Then Slick and Dino Countrymen took him in from the age of 14-18 years old. James met Marti (his wife) at the age of 17. James graduated from Dalhart High School in 1994. He was a role model to many people in Dalhart. He was a very athletic person; he played football, basketball, track, golf, and softball in the summers. James loved his sports in season or not. He was always participating in one sport or another. His first son was born in 1994, his name is James Ray Harris like his father, James and Marti where married on August 30 1996. It was the best day of their lives. James was so happy the day he married her. He was so full of spirit and happiness. His second son Jacob Manuel Harris was born in February 13, 1996. Then his daughter Kyli Vianey Harris was born in March 9, 2000. He was very involved in all of his kids daily lives and also in all the sports that they participated in. James was always a very loving husband and a very dedicated dad. He will be missed greatly by everyone, and he will never be forgotten! He is survived by his wife: Marti Harris of Dalhart, TX - 2 Sons: James & Jacob Harris & 1 daughter: Kyli Harris all ofDalhart, TX 2 Brothers: Charles Johnson of Waco, TX and Terrell Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX Numerous Aunts, Uncles Nieces and Nephews.
