Jack William Bailey, 72 of Dalhart, entered into Divine Glory and met his Lord and Savior as he peacefully slept on Monday, October 30, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL while on vacation with his beloved bride, Debbie. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 o' clock in the morning on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Central Methodist Church in Dalhart with Mr. Bailey's nephew, Rev. Rick Enns of First Methodist Church in Canyon, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bailey will lay in state from 2 o' clock in the afternoon until 6 o' clock in the evening on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.

Born on January 4, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, to R.C. and Mildred Bailey, Jack's life was a testament to his faith, his love for family, and his adventurous spirit. Jack's journey began in Texas, where he spent his childhood in Hart, Tulia, and Dalhart. A natural-born adventurer, Jack obtained his pilot's license at an early age of 16, becoming the youngest Aviation Instructor at 19. His love for flying was not only a hobby but a successful thirty-year career that included spraying, instructing, and chartering. However, Jack's entrepreneurial spirit didn't stop there. He owned and operated seven car washes and a laundromat in the Texas panhandle.

In 1973, Jack married Debbie Enns, the love of his life. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters and were blessed with seven grandchildren and four bonus grandchildren. Jack's love for exploration often led him to sightseeing and traveling adventures in his motorhome with Debbie. Whether he was flying, motorcycling, or jeeping in the Rocky Mountains, Jack was never far from an adventure.

Above all his accomplishments, Jack was a Man of God. His faith shaped his life, and he became a beacon of love and care to those around him. In the words of Billy Graham, "A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." Jack embodied these words through his selfless love and devotion to his family, making him a role model to his grandchildren especially.

Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie Enns Bailey; daughters Kathy Bailey Kelso and husband Jack and Barbie Bailey Daniels and husband Scanlon; grandchildren Trinity Walker, Catherine Walker, Cole Kelso, Joshua Walker, Eli Kelso, Trent Walker, and Emily Walker, all of Dalhart, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Bailey and his wife Beverly Bailey; a sister-in-law Jane Bailey; brother-in-law Ron Enns and wife Margaret; sister-in-law Marilyn McCarty and husband Carl, and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, RC & Mildred Bailey; a brother, Mike Bailey; his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Lurel Enns; and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Jack William Bailey was a man of purpose and intention, a loving, selfless, and faith-filled individual who touched the lives of many. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of love, faith, and adventure will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
