J.B. Cook, Jr., died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas. Services were held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Peoples Church. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Pampa, Texas at 3:30 PM under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX. Survivors include his wife: Karen Cook of Dalhart, TX son- J.B. Cook III and his wife Alice of Austin, TX daughter Keri and her husband Bryce Marler of Amarillo, TX Granddaughter Karlianna Coon Henderson of Amarillo and Grandson Jonathan Marler of Amarillo, TX - brother Joe and his wife Evelyn Cook of Trinidad, TX - preceded in death by his parents and a brother Walter Spicer.J. B. Cook Jr. was born December 20, 1943 in Borger, Texas to JB Sr. and Ruby Pillow Cook. Mr. Cook was raised in Borger and graduated from Borger High School in 1962. On October 12, 1965 he married Karen Whiteside. J.B was Co-Owner and operator of C&C Oil Field Services in Pampa for over 16 Years. He and Karen lived in Houston before moving to Dalhart in 1997. A loving father, husband and grandfather he was an avid outdoorsman and expert fisherman. J.B. was an example of strength and dependability, always had a kind word for others, and was unfailingly kind and cheerful to anybody who met him.
