Iona Stephens, 86, died Monday, June 22, 2015, in Dalhart, Texas. Memorial Services were held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Dalhart Senior Citizens Chapel in Dalhart, TX. The family had a private family graveside prior to the Memorial Service.Rita Iona Kent was born January 27, 1929 in Elk City, OK to Jesse and Rita (Atchley) Kent. Iona grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico, she graduated from Clayton High School in 1947. On August 12, 1949, she married Roy Stephens in Dalhart, Texas. She and Roy raised their family in Clayton, NM and moved to Dalhart in 1987. Iona was a member of the IOOF Rebekas Lodge, enjoyed sewing and being with her grandchildren and family.
