Bearden 85, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 in Dalhart, TexasGraveside Services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Dalhart, TX, under the direction of Horizon Funeral HomeJeff Ratliff, Pastor Dalhart Church of Christ, Dalhart, Texasofficiated.Ida Odelia Bearden was born July 27, 1923 in Sedan, NM to Arthur V. and Mary (Odom) Bearden. Ida was raised in Dalhart and attended Dalhart schools. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1943. Ida worked at the Dalhart Air Base, 200 Laundry, Rita Blanca Studio with Julie Davis, before becoming a Nurses Aide at Coon Memorial Nursing Home, where she worked for 20 years before retiring in 1982. Ida was a member of the Dalhart Church of Christ, VFW, and AARP. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Marjorie Bearden, of Plainview, a nephew, Kent Bearden and wife, Helen of Plainview and a niece, Nita Bearden of Plainview. A great- nephew, Norman Bearden and wife Sheila, and their sons, Galen and Eric of Amarillo, and a great-niece LaQueta White and husband Ronnie and son Ryan of Plainview. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mable Bearden, and a brother, John Bearden.
