Howard Rigg, 69, died on Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Amarillo, TX Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Dalhart Country Club with George Chambers, Pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church - officiating. Howards friends are welcome to remain at the Club after the service.Survivors include his wife Pat Rigg of Dalhart, TX - 2 daughters: JoeAnn Moore and her husband Rick of Dalhart, TX and Cynthia Flynn and her husband Kevin of Abilene, KS a son: JR Rigg and his wife Gina of Herington, KS. Mother Edna Rigg of Dalhart, TX 5 grandchildren Kelsey McPherson of Hereford, TX Austin Rodger Biggs and Mark Ross Biggs of Salina, KS and Jacob C. Rigg and Morgan A. Rigg of Herington, KS and 2 great-grandchildren- Caelyn Victoria Biggs of Salina, KS and Zae McPherson of Hereford, TX Preceded in death by Father Clarence M. RiggHoward Austin Rigg was born September 28th, 1937 in Texhoma, OK to Clarence and Edna (Fitzgerald) Rigg. Raised in the Panhandle area he graduated from Guymon High School and attended Panhandle A&M. He married Patricia Tighe on October 29, 1958 in East Moline, IL they moved to Dalhart from Herington, KS in 1982. Howard worked for the Railroad for 42 years and retired from the Union Pacific RR in 1999. While with the Railroad he was a member of the United Transportation Union and serviced as a local Chairman over a period of 30 years. An avid golfer he has logged 2 hole in ones. Howard also enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing poker ( he was after all Kid Lucky). He also worked part time as a field representative for Provost-Umphrey attorneys based in Houston, TX.
