Helen Maxine Click Summerour 86, of Dalhart passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Services were held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart, Texas. Helen was born on May 18, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her parents were Derrel and Martha (Schroeder) Click. She attended school in Waukomis, Oklahoma and she attended Oklahoma A&M University in Stillwater, OK where she was a member of Delta Zeta. Helen met Jimmy on a blind date in January 1953, they were engaged on Valentines Day 1953, and married June 14, 1953. Helen and Jimmy had 3 daughters, Debra, Cindy, and Kristi. Helen was an excellent seamstress making most of her and the girls clothing in early years. She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Dallas Click, husband Jimmy, her daughter Cindy Wedel, and great-grandson, Jackson Walden. Jimmy and Helen were members of the Central United Methodist Church and longtime members of the Friendship Circle. She was active in church and loved playing specials on the piano. She also worked with students thru CUMC in a tutoring program. Helen enjoyed baking and watching grandkids in their activities. She loved playing cards and dominoes with friends and grandkids. At Legacy, Helen won all the card games. The only reason they let her keep playing was because she was the only one who could shuffle. She had the biggest and fullest closet (especially her size 4 shoes) of anyone around, but knew exactly where each item was located. Helen is survived by her daughter Debra Pendleton of Dallas and husband Tom, daughter Kristi Walden of Stratford and husband Philip, son in law Billy Wedel of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Granddaughter Lindsey Waldrop of Charlotte, NC and husband John, grandson Nathaniel Walden of Stratford and wife Keri, Barret Wedel of Lake of the Ozarks and fianc Ammie, Skyler Walden of Amarillo and wife Alisha, Andy Pendleton of Dallas and wife Meredith, Harrison Walden of Perryton and wife Alison, Lauren Pendleton of Dallas and fianc Bradley Bilbo. Great-grandchildren include: Klaire Ryan Walden, Kooper Wight Walden, Johnnie Anthony Waldrop IV, Brooks Warren-Knox Waldrop, Emmy Lou Walden and Palmer Lauren Pendleton. Sister in law, Jo Wayne Summerour of Dalhart, brother in law Buzz Summerour and wife Nell of Dalhart, sister in law Donna Lou Brasch and husband Bob of Dalhart, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Legacy Assisted Living Community in Dalhart, Texas and Coldwater Manor in Stratford, Texas for taking such good care of Helen.
