Harold A. Wilkinson, 85 of Dalhart, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 3 o clock in the afternoon on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Heritage Bible Baptist church in Stratford with Pastor Mark Looney officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Harold was born on April 6, 1936 to George and Iris Florence Wilkinson in Guymon, OK. Harold married Dixie Jean on June 26, 1958 in Dalhart. He enjoyed collect and recycling all kinds of junk metals. When the kids were young, he would get them in the car and they would just drive. Drive down an old dirt road looking for junkyards. His idea of a vacation was driving wherever the road took them. Harold cherished every moment he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his family very much. Harold was also strong in his faith and truly a man of God. He was known by many people and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Iris Florence Wilkinson; wife: Dixie; two brothers: Junior and Dan Wilkinson; two sisters: Dorothy Brant and Harlene brown; and two children: Alvin Ray and Vanora Laray Wilkinson. Harold is survived by one son: Timothy Wilkinson and wife Kenna of Dalhart; one daughter: Charlin Romero and husband Fred of Monahans, TX; and three grandchildren.
