Harold Unruh, 89, died Friday, July 05, 2013 in Dalhart, TXFuneral services were held at10:30 am on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Lakeview United Methodist Church, Dalhart, TX. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart.Officiating was Kevin Phillips, Pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church Harold Henry Unruh was born October 12, 1923 in Helena, OK to Fred and Lina (Major) Unruh. He grew up in Oklahoma and was a Veteran of the US Army. On September 22, 1945 he married Beulah Lee in Enid, OK. Harold loved farming and while custom harvesting in the Panhandle he decided to make his home here. He and Beulah are active members of the Lakeview United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent. Harold loved being involved with his family and had a deep love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harold is survived by his wife Beulah of Dalhart, TX, a son C.J. Unruh and wife Barbara of Dalhart, TX, a daughter Linda Gayle (Unruh) White and husband Doug of Dalhart, TX, a daughter in law Judy Unruh of Texhoma. 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Harold is preceded in death by his parents, a son Gary Lee Unruh, a granddaughter Nikki E. Unruh , and 4 brothers, Loren, Loel, Lyle and Jackie.The family request memorials be sent to Lakeview United Methodist Church, 1401 Walnut, Dalhart, TX 79022.
