Harold L. Newman, 83, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Dalhart, TexasGraveside Services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Arrangements by Horizon Funeral Home Officiating was Robin Robertson.Harold Loy Newman was born February 13, 1928, in Weatherford, OK, to O.D. and Fern (Wease) Newman. He moved with his family to the Bunkerhill area when he was 2 yrs old. Harold was raised in the Bunkerhill area and farmed near Sedan, NM and Bunkerhill before retiring in the mid 90s. After he retired he raised cattle and enjoyed playing dominoes. Harold is survived by his son Alan Lee Newman and his wife Marilyn of Forgan, OK, a daughter Angela (Angie) McClellan of Dalhart, TX Granddaughters Timarra Hodges of Edmond, OK, Stephanie Urban of Van Alsytne, TX and Susan Sandoval of Amarillo, TX. Grandsons- Benjamin Newman of Oklahoma City, OK and Kurt Newman of Denton, TX 2 sisters Marlena Kerns of Amarillo, TX and Maxine Trollinger of Amarillo, TX and 10 Great-Grandchildren.Preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harley Newman, a sister Loretta Stovall and a grandson Alan Loy Newman .
