Harold Chalker, 79, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Dalhart, TX.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor John Miller, Officiating.Harold Dean Chalker of Dalhart, Texas, formerly of Herington, Kansas, born March 22, 1936 in Council Grove, Kansas, died on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Dalhart, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold L. Chalker and Enid (Banks) Chalker. He is survived by his wife of more than fifty four years, Betty (Mehl) Chalker of the home. A son, Dr. Harold Mark Chalker and wife Belinda of Meade, Kansas. Grandchildren Justin Chalker and wife Louisa of Adelaide, Australia, Amanda Graves and husband Jon of Tallahassee, Florida and Cassandra Mains and husband Trent of Ellsworth, Kansas. A daughter, Sharon Dickgrafe, and husband Dan, of Wichita. Grandsons Andy Dickgrafe and Zachary Dickgrafe and wife Shardae of Wichita, Kansas and four great grandchildren.Harold served in the Marine Corp. He worked as a fireman, brakeman and conductor for several railroads for over forty years retiring in 1998. He loved his family, his church, his RV and his animals. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, Dalhart, Texas or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, Kansas.
