Jim Watson of Muleshoe, TexasHal Phipps was born on June 10th, 1927 in Wellington, Texas to Simon Peter & Dorothy M. (Goforth) Phipps. Raised in Stegal, Texas, Hal was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. On January 19, 1950 he married Margaret Underdown in Clovis, NM. In 1980 they moved to Dalhart. Hal was a custom farmer and a deacon of the First Baptist Church.
