Billings, 90, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Dalhart, Texas.Graveside Services were held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas.Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas Harrison W. Billings was born March 9, 1921 in Ardmore, OK to James M. and Mary (Walker) Billings. Mr. Billings helped his mother raise his six brothers and sisters. He picked cotton by hand, drove a truck and collected anything John Wayne. He married Phyllis Kirkland on October 26, 1990 in Dalhart, TX.Survivors include his wife Phyllis of Dalhart, TX, Sons Harrison Walker Billings of Springfield, CO, Tom Billings of Campo, CO, Marvin Billings of Ulysses, KS. Daughters Linda Harper, Albuquerque, NM, Anita Blundell of Ulysses, KS. Ssiter Evelyn Fowler of Ada, OK Stepsons James Kirkland and Nathan Kirkland of Dalhart, TX and step daughters Crystal Scribenger of Norman, OK and Lorene McVave of Dalhart, TX.Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
