Goldie Nell (Mitchell) McClellan passed into Eternal Life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Friday, November 20th, 2009 at the age of 93 years and 7 months.Services were held at 1:00 PM Monday November 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church Chapel, 1000 East 16th Street, Dalhart, Texas.Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart.Goldie Nell (Mitchell) McClellan, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother will forever remain in our hearts. She was born April 13th, 1916 to Parents William Deaster Mitchell and Wife Rose Etta (Miller) Mitchell in Pittsburg, Oklahoma. She was one of ten children and a friend to all.Goldie Married John Walker McClellan May 18th, 1935 in Dalhart, Texas. After a few months of marriage, they purchased their Farm south of Texline, Texas where she lived for 69 years. They raised their four children on the farm. For the past 5 years she has been living with her Son, Bill and Wife Judy McClellan in Colleyville, Texas.Goldie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dalhart, Texas and well known for her wonderful cooking. She served in the Church Kitchen on special occasions for many years.She is preceded in death by her Husband John Walker McClellanSon David McClellan of Dalhart, TexasDaughter Mary LeCrone of Blue Springs, Missouri Daughter in Law Becky McClellan of Texline Texas, andThree Grand ChildrenShe is survived by Son, Bill McClellan and wife Judy of Colleyville, TexasAnd Son J.
