Gladys Mozelle Calcote -96, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 in Amarillo, TexasServices were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the First Christian Church. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Barry Walker, Pastor First Christian Church Dalhart, Texas Gladys Mozelle Hill was born August 19, 1910 in Claude, TX. She married Clifford Calcote in December of 1927. They farmed in the Conlen area before moving to Las Animas, CO where they continued to farm and returned to the Dalhart area in 1958. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her wonderful cooking and love for Dominoes, Bingo and many other games. She had been living at the Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo, TX. Mozelle will be missed by all. Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in 1989, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include 1 son: Chester Calcote of Amarillo, TX and 1 Daughter Peggy Byrd of Dalhart, TX - 5 grandchildren: Mike and Jon Calcote of Amarillo, Ella Opuszynski of Wallingford, CT, Shawn Byrd & KiKi Ralston of Dalhart 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren & 1 sister: Bertha Lee Houser of Arlington, TX
