Gerald Burke Osborne, 95, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Dalhart, Texas.Graveside Services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 3rd, 2005 in Memorial Park Cemetery Dalhart, Texas Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TexasOfficiating at the services was Clifford Dane, Minister to Senior Adults First Baptist Church Dalhart, TXGerald Burke Osborne was born October 18, 1909 in Enid, OK to Finley & Gertie Osborne. In 1914 He and his family moved to Amistad, NM to Homestead. Later, they moved to Clayton, NM where Gerald & his father ran a Dairy for many years. Gerald then moved to Dalhart where he ran a dairy, farmed and was owner operator of the Texas Tavern. During the war Mr. Osborne worked at the police Dept., drove a taxi and worked for the Railroad. Gerald is survived by a sister - Anna Belle Werner of Traverse City, MI, nieces Charlyn and her husband Virgil Witcher of Grants Pass, Oregon Sallye Werner of Alaska, and Kathye & her husband Lee Johnson of Traverse City, MI - Nephews Clay & his wife Judy Dickerson, Darryl and his wife Terri Dickerson of Grants Pass, Oregon. Bob and his wife Teri Werner of Wisconsin and many great nieces and great nephews, and a special friend Laverne White Preceded in death by his parents, his wives Inez and Edith Sister- Lula Belle Dickerson and a Brother Jimmie K. Osborne
