He was a veteran of the US ARMY and worked as a carpenter. He is survived by his sons Nathan Barrie of Dalhart, TX and John Barrie of Borger, TX , a sister Shirley Belk of Hesperia, CA. A niece Diana Timm and a nephew Bruce Pion both of Hesperia, CA.
