George Ortiz, 87, died July 6, 2013 in Dalhart, Texas. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 19th, 2013 at 10:00 am in St Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church.Cremains will be interred at 10AM (MDT) on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Roy cemetery, Roy, NM.John George Ortiz was born March 20, 1926 in Wagon Mound, NM to Nerio and Eloisa (Vigil) Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz married Narcisa Abeyta on June 22, 1954 in Roy, NM. George loved his yard and enjoyed working with and organizing his tools. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed music and dancing. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.Survivors include his wife of 59 years Narcisa Ortiz, a son George and his wife Judy Ortiz of Tulsa, OK - daughters: Tina Aragon, Mary Ortiz, and Rose Ortiz all of Dalhart, TX 4 grand and 5 great grandchildren.
