Gary Lee Womble, 65, died on Friday, May 19, 2017 in St. Charles, MO. Funeral Service were held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Church of Christ, 1420 Denver Ave. Dalhart TX with burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX ~ Arrangements provided by Horizon Funeral Home Dalhart, TX. Gary was born in Dumas, TX on Thursday, July 26, 1951 to A.J. Womble Jr. and Dorothy Jean (Williams) Womble. Gary was an avid fisherman and was often referred to as "The old catfish man" and loved his family dearly. He was loved by many that knew him and will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving companion Dorothy Dowell; his mother, Jean Womble, his children Tisha (Erin) Hall, Zac (Michelle) Womble, Shelagh Halsema, Christi (David) Przilas, Dwight (Casey) Dowell Jr., Sheila (Jim) Thompson, and Scott (Dawn) Dowell; his brothers Joe (Charlene) Womble, Rick (Rhonda) Womble and sisters Jan (Ronny) Prater and Shery Truelock. Gary was a loving grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 9. He was preceded in death by his father A.J.
