Gail Castleberry - 95 Died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart, Texas Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. Burial as in Memorial Park Cemetery.Mr. Dennis Shugart of Dalhart, Texas & Clifford Dane, Minister to Sr. Adults - First Baptist Church officiatedAubrey Gail Castleberry born September 11, 1909 in Duster, Texas to Rev. A. L. & Didama (Cruse) Castleberry. He married Goldia Githens May 14, 1931 in Texola, OK. They made their home in Raton, New Mexico, where Gail worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company. They moved to Dalhart in 1938 where Gail went to work for the Dalhart Coca Cola Bottling Plant. Gail was Production Superintendent earning many awards of merit during his 36 years before retiring. Pursuing his hobby of working with wood, and picture framing since his retirement in 1974. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church, where he taught Boys Sunday School Class for many years. He worked with Boys Scouts & Royal Ambassadors for many years.Gail is survived by 2 Sons - Ron Castleberry of Arlington, TX & Larry Castleberry of Baytown, TX4 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildrenhe is preceded in death by his parents & his wife Goldia who died in December of 2002.
