Exvenia "Exie" Warren, 93, died Sunday, Novmeber 5, 2006 in Dalhart, TexasServices were held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, November 9th, 2006 at the New Light Baptist Church with Rev. James Brady, Pastor officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery - Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, TexasExvenia Stafford was born September 15, 1913 in Pine Hill, Cherokee County, TX to Cleveland and Zora (Woods) Stafford She married Rev. James Warren on May 11, 1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas and they moved to Dalhart in 1964. Exie was a faithful member of the New Light Baptist Church ( Her Husband Rev. James Warren founded the New Light Baptist Church in 1971). Rev Warren died in 1987.Mrs. Warren will be remembered as a wonderful friend and helper to many in the Dalhart Community. Survivors include her Daughter: Bessie Mae Price of Maybank, TX Sister in law L.V. Stafford of Rusk,TX, Numerous grand and great grand children as well as nieces and nephews. Including Rubye Allen of Ft. Worth, TX Special friends Bob & Julie Wilcoxson, and Ophelia Blackwell. As well as Barbara & Rick Wilkinson who cared for her for the last four years.
