Excell Williams- 89, died Thursday, August 31, 2006 in Dalhart, Texas Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 2nd, 2006 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TX Rusty Hancock, Pastor Lincoln Street Baptist Church Officiated. It was the honor of Horizon Funeral Home to direct the Services.Survivors include his wife Gladys of Dalhart, TX - a son Tommy and his wife Joyce Williams of Garland, TX, a grandson David Williams of Garland, Texas and Four Great-Grandchildren and a Brother Leonard Williams of College Station. Born February 23, 1917 to Fred & Ella Williams Excell married Gladys McLaughlin on September 13, 1937 in Hobbs, NM. Excell and Gladys moved to Dalhart in 1965 from Stratford, TX Shortly after moving to Dalhart they joined Lincoln Street Baptist. In 1969 he and Sam Byers started Plains Supply Excell retired in 1995 and sold the business soon after. He and Gladys enjoyed their favorite hobby walking many miles a day. Excell was a Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and Two Sisters.
