Everett Stanley, 67, died Monday, August 10, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in the Mitchell Cemetery with Rusty Hancock, Pastor Lincoln Street Baptist Church, officiating. Horizon Funeral Home has the honor of assisting with this service.
Clarence Everett Stanley was born December 29, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas to Keith and Jean (Ammons) Stanley. Everetts family lived in Amarillo before moving to Hartley in 1964, they owned and operated Hartley Truck Stop, where Everett worked for his parents.
He graduated from Hartley High School in 1971 and attended WT before returning to Hartley and on October 16, 1974 he married Cari Mitchell, they lived in Amarillo until 1979 when they moved back to Dalhart. Everett was an avid Bass fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors and other than his children and grandchildren, his "pride and joy" was a 1983 Chevy 4X4 shortbed he fully restored.
Everett is survived by his wife Cari Stanley of Dalhart, TX, 2 sons, Luke Stanley of Dalhart, TX and Paul Stanley of Austin, TX , 2 daughters; Rachel Fisher and husband Rickey of Winfield, KS, and Keile Spence and her husband Travis of Dalhart, TX a sister Susie and her husband Mark Bressler of Canyon, TX as well as 4 grandchildren Cadence, Christian, Eric and Emilia
Mr. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.
