Dalhart, Texas.Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TexasSurvivors: Sons: Jim Shepherd and his wife Shirley of San Antonio, TX, Steve Shepherd and his wife Shirley of Plano, TX and Glen Shepherd of Dalhart, TX and a special friend - Gloria Bombach - Eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildrenEverett Shepherd was born August 18, 1916 to Benjamin and Bessie (Smith) Shepherd in Beaver County Oklahoma. Everett was a member of the Coast Guard and during that time he met and married Muriel Riley in Brooklyn, N. Y. They moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and in 1946 moved to Dalhart, his hometown and raised their boys. Everett and Merle as she was known owned and operated the Sweet Shop for many years.
