Everett E Dorsett, 84, of Dalhart, Texas died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas. There will be a private family service held at a later date. Everett E. Dorsett was born in Eureka, Kansas to Roy and May Dorsett on March 5, 1932 and graduated from Eureka High School. Upon finishing high school, he became a lifelong rancher, he met and married Juanita Rozell and they had one son, Jerry Dorsett. They moved to Dalhart area 53 years ago to continue his ranching life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, his parents, Roy & May Dorsett, his brother Limon Dorsett, his sister Hazel Johnston, and his daughter in-law, Bonnie Dorsett. He is survived by his son Jerry Dorsett of Dalhart, Texas, his granddaughters, Sabrina Stroope and her husband, Justin Stroope of Amarillo, Texas, and Sheena Dorsett of Boise, Idaho, Grandson, Sam Dorsettt and wife, Amanda Dorsett of Dalhart, Texas, and one great-granddaughter, Haddie Shields of Amarillo, Texas. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Arthritis foundation, National Breast Cancer Association, or the Amarillo Heart group.
